The procurement of storage and handling equipment frequently requires an array of support services to effectively meet customer needs. Applied Handling offers services to ensure that the maximum benefit of our storage and handling solution is realized. Services include:
Project
Management: Every project, large or small, is
extremely important to us. Our entire sales has many years
of project management experience. You can expect to be
constantly updated on the progress of your project and with our
team approach to project management, you will always be able to
reach a team member that can answer your questions.
Design
and Layout Services: Our experience coupled with our computer
aided design programs
can quickly provide you with CAD drawings of your
facility in its most efficient configuration. These
drawings allow you to easily visualize how your material
handling system of racking, conveyor, shelving, mezzanines, or
other needs fit your application. Animated, fly-through renderings prepared at Applied Handling
will provide a clear representation of your project's finished
appearance.
Preliminary
Seismic Engineering: Our in-house computer programs can
immediately specify
the proper racking, shelving, or mezzanine
components (per Uniform Building Code and RMI) based on facility
slab and soil specifications.
Engineering-Stamped
Seismic Calculations and Drawings: When
permitting a project, this service is essential for the
acquisition of a building permit and is another important part
of the design, sale, and installation of storage and handling
equipment.
Permit Acquisition Services: As a general contractor, we can take full responsibility for obtaining permits if this is a client preference. We are very experienced at understanding the varied requirements of building departments in Northwest municipalities. Proper submittals can save valuable time in the construction process.
Sprinkler
Subcontracting and Fire Protection Engineer Services: A
storage or material handling project may require the services of a fire protection
engineer to evaluate fire protection requirements. This
service, by licensed engineers, is available for an additional
fee. If
your facility requires an addition or alteration
to an existing sprinkler
system, we can provide this service.
Fabrication services: In-house fabrication services insures that project delays can be minimized or eliminated. We have the staff and resources to meet design or space changes that may occur during the course of installation. We can also fabricate non-standard racks from factory components stocked at our Kent location.
Installation
Services: Equipment installation is performed by
skilled, experienced, licensed and
bonded installers and backed
by our strong project management team.
Project and Equipment Budgeting: We understand a realistic equipment budget is an important initial step in the development of your overall warehousing/distribution plan. We utilize computer programs specifically formulated for this budgeting stage that provide quick and accurate budgets for both immediate and long-range plans.
Used Equipment Valuation: If your plans call for the disposal of existing equipment, Applied Handling can assist with the "used" valuation of racks, shelving, mezzanines, and conveyor systems. In some instances we may even purchase the surplus equipment.
